Top 5 Items In My Purse - Video Post!

I decided to share my post with you via video this week! I talk about what I'm loving in my make up bag right now, my perfume of the day, and an item I love right now that is soon to be reviewed. Enjoy and thanks for watching!!

In case you are wondering about the stunning painting behind me, it is a huge piece by my dear friend Heidi Conrod. If you aren't familiar with her work, I suggest you check her out. Every single one of her pieces is deeply personal and evokes a feeling of love and warmth. More are incredible caustic works of oil and beeswax and have so much depth you feel like you could reach into one.

Here is a bigger shot of the painting....

Love that you've decided to do a video and share more of yourself with us. You're just as lovely as I imagined. I really MUST try the Jane Iredale pressed foundation. Everyday Beauty has had me anxious to try it for a while now and I think you have just sealed the deal for me. For perfume today I think I will wear one of the Amouage decants I just received. I'm thinking it feels like a Dia day!

Happy Thursday!

My Top 5 Items in my bag for this week are:
1. Cle de Peau concealer in Ochre, an old favourite...back to the best after a too long hiatus. Perfection in a stick!

2. Dior Nail Lacquer in Lucky..LOVE this colour! Gorg red/coral shade, the epitome Spring!

3. Guerlain Gloss Balm in #2 Pink Croisiere. Pick this up in the U.S. not sure if it's at Canadian counters yet...lovely sheer pinky peach colour. Regretting not buying a back up!

4. L'Oreal Infalliable shadow in Bronzed Taupe...I believe this was a U.S.exclusive...applied with a finger over the lid, it's a easy daytime eye.

5. Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow in Velvet Plum from the new "Coffee" Collection...it's a lovely taupey metallic plum shade...perfect for a day look or applied with a heavier hand for evenig.

I have to also add a 6th items, it's the L'Oreal Voluminous Smouldering Eyeliner in Brown, it's long wearing, easy to apply and it's a cute little cubby pencil which comes with it's own special sharpener. Loveth

My fragrance today is Valentino's "Valentina" EDT...picked up a few samples of this at Nordstrom's last week while on vacay...it's so pretty...might just pick up the full size in the near future.

Happy Easter/Passover
Lisa

Thanks Jane, that was wonderful! I have recently grabbed my 5 favourite makeup things out of my black faux-croc tote and moved them over to my leather bag from Cuba. Partly because it feels more spring-like; partly because I want to go back to Cuba. ;)

5. Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer in Rhubarb: goes on like a chapstick, but with a tint of plum and a hint of menthol!

4. Covergirl coverstick in two shades (one with tan; one without) to cover any little sins...

3. Maybelline Volume Express "Falsies" Mascara - doubles my lashes, catches even the little ones, and doesn't irritate my eyes like so many lash-building mascaras do.

2. Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner in Pewter (for the upper lid only) - it's smudgeproof but it also is not impossible to remove with just a little mild soap and water.

1. Vichy Normaderm Teint in Sand or Nude depending on the season - covers all imperfections and gives me smooth, dewy skin while protecting from the elements!

As for fragrance, my favourite is a body moisturizer scented with Calvin Klein Eternity, and for evening I add a spritz of the cologne.

Thanks for the video! It's nice to meet you! ;)

How lovely to see you Jane! I hope you do more video posts in the future - I feel like we just got to hang out together for a little chat. :-) Also - you have the most beautiful hair! Love the style & color.

I don't have time to list 5 items right now - but my SOTD, for the second day in a row, is a new scent by Liz Zorn/Soivohle: Rosa Sur Reuse. Absolutely fantastic, expert take on rose. I highly recommend checking it out!

Have a wonderful weekend. XO

Hi Jane, I loved seeing/hearing you! I agree with Victoria that your hair is gorgeous, and you have such a lovely voice.

You can buy the Nivea tins online at drugstore.com. Sometimes they go on sale for .99 and I buy around 10 when they do! I have also purchased them at Walgreens in store (almost always under a dollar) and online. Both e-tailers ship for free if you spend $25.

Here are my top 5 this week:

1. Like you, Jane Iredale PurePressed powder. I bought the new limited edition chrome palette recently, and I love it. The shiny, gunmetal-grey finish reminds me of some of the Chantecaille limited edition palettes. ♥ (JI will be in my top list whenever lists come up because it's my holy grail.)

2. NARS Gaiety blush. AFter thinking about it for what seemed like months, I finally purchased Gaiety, and it is the most perfect glowy pink. I am bonkers over it, and I don't usually get that excited over blush.

3. Lipstick is a tossup between Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Bonheur and Lipstick Queen Jean Queen. Bonheur is a juicy, lightly-shimmering plum and Jean Queen is a sheer rose. Both feel like lip treatment, but you already know that about the RCS. :)

4. NARS Violetta eyeshadow, from the Nars Douceurs De Paris Palette. A very soft dusty lavender that evens out the color on my eyelids and makes me look like I am not wearing any makeup at all.

5. YSL Touche Eclat in #1. Always and forever.

My fragrance today is Hermes Elixir des Merveilles.

Really enjoyed seeing you and hope to see more in the future.

Lisa- I must try Cle de Peau concealer! It is such a cult fave. I am loving Lippmann's Daytripper, also a bright red/coral, you're right! Perfect for spring! Gosh...you have me tempted with that Guerlain gloss....And I agree, Valentina is so pretty! I hope to review it soon!

Oh you smell beautiful! Love Elixir des Merveilles. I am SOLD on Jane Iredale 100% and will weep if this ever is discontinued! I am now very curious about that Chanel Rouge Coco Shine shade- especially after reading your post! You are like me- we love our sheer moisturizing lippies!

Ok, I need that Precious too now!!! Do you think it would be ok for normal-dry skin though?
Your hair is GORGEOUS as are you!
